  11. Who stands behind this page

CasinoSafest keeps a record of online casinos that take US players: which license a site shows, how long its cashouts take, where a complaint can go and what age it asks for. A record like that is only useful if you know where its edges are, and this page marks them out. It covers every page on casinosafest.com — reviews, state guides, bonus tables, game explainers and news. Where a sentence elsewhere on the site seems to promise more than this page allows, read it in the light of this page.

Online casino gambling in the United States is regulated state by state. A small number of states license real-money online casinos; most do not, and sweepstakes casinos, social casinos and sports betting each sit under rules of their own. Our state guides summarize what public sources said when the page was last checked. They cannot follow every county ordinance, tribal compact or bill that passed last week, and they are not legal advice. Whether you may play, and where, depends on the law of the place you are physically in at the moment you play. If you need certainty, ask a lawyer admitted in your state or read the notices published by the state regulator itself.

Limit 2 — we are not a casino

CasinoSafest runs no games, takes no deposits, holds no balances and pays out no winnings. We never see your casino account. A button such as “Play at …” takes you off this site, and from that point you deal with the operator alone, under its terms, its license and its privacy rules. Disagreements about bonuses, identity checks, frozen balances or slow withdrawals have to be raised with the operator first and, if that goes nowhere, with the authority that licensed it. We can describe how such authorities usually handle complaints; we cannot decide yours.

Limit 3 — a license check shows one moment

When a review says a license was checked, it means that on the date shown we found the license claim on the operator’s site and, where a public register exists, matched it there. Licenses are suspended, transferred and left to lapse. Many sites open to US players are licensed offshore — in Curaçao, Anjouan, Kahnawake or elsewhere — rather than by any US state. An offshore license gives a player much weaker protection than a state license, and in some states playing at such a site is not lawful at all. A tick on our page is not a seal from any regulator. Unless a page names the state regulator that issued a license, do not read it as saying the operator is licensed in the US.

Limit 4 — offers move faster than pages

Welcome offers, wagering multiples, minimum deposits, payout windows, bonus codes and RTP figures come from the operator’s own pages or from our test notes on the day of the check. Operators change them without telling anyone. A code can expire overnight; a same-day cashout can become a five-day one after a switch of payment provider. Before you deposit, open the casino’s current terms and read the bonus rules there. When the operator’s page and ours disagree, the operator’s page describes what you will actually be offered — and we would like to hear about the gap.

Limit 5 — scores are opinions

Scores out of ten, “safest” labels and the order of our lists are editorial judgments, reached with the method described in How we rate. Two careful reviewers could weigh the same facts differently. A high score does not promise fair treatment, a win or a prompt payout; a low score is not an accusation of fraud. Our lists are also connected to commission arrangements with operators, which are set out openly under How CasinoSafest is paid.

Limit 6 — there is no route to profit

Every casino game is designed so that the house keeps a share over time. Strategy articles, odds tables and bankroll guides on this site explain how games work; they do not turn anyone into a winning player, and no betting system can hold off the edge for long. Treat money you deposit as the price of entertainment. If you notice yourself chasing losses, borrowing to play or hiding play from people close to you, stop and call the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738) — free, confidential and open around the clock in all 50 states. Where a life is at risk right now, dial 911, or 988 for the suicide and crisis line.

Limit 7 — age and location are yours to check

The ledger is written for readers who are 21 or older. Some states and some products use a different minimum, and every casino runs its own age and identity checks; getting past ours means nothing to them. Do not use a VPN, a borrowed address or another person’s details to reach a site that is closed where you are. Operators routinely void winnings and close accounts when they find it.

Pages here link to casinos, payment services, regulators, helplines and news outlets. We choose links with care, but the pages behind them change, disappear or pass to new owners. Their content, their security and the way they treat your data are their own responsibility. Treat a link as a pointer for further reading rather than as our approval of whatever you find at the other end.

Limit 9 — errors happen and get fixed

The ledger is put together by people, and people misread terms, mistype figures and miss announcements. When we find a mistake, or a reader points one out, we correct the page and move its “Updated” stamp. We do not promise that any entry is complete or still accurate on the day you open it. Corrections are welcome by email: include the page address and, if you can, a screenshot or a link to the source you are relying on.

Limit 10 — how far our responsibility reaches

The ledger comes with no guarantee. So far as the law permits, neither CasinoSafest nor its publisher answers for what happens after you act on something you read here — a lost deposit, a voided bonus, a closed account, a tax bill or anything else that flows from your dealings with an operator. That does not strip away consumer protections no contract can remove, and it does not cover fraud or harm done on purpose. The general rules of the site sit in the Terms of use.

Before you play

Which sites are legal, and at what age, is decided state by state — not nationally. Check the rules where you live before you put money down, and set your deposit limit first.
